Warm atmosphere, lovely service, yummy food. The perfect spot for breakfast when we were driving back from Digby to Halifax. Glad we took the extra few minutes out of the way to stop here and it was nice to see the pretty town of Bear River.

*Perfect small town cafe* On our way through Bear River, my husband and I stopped here for lunch, and we are so glad we did! This is the perfect small town cafe. Simple, fresh, welcoming. These ladies know what they're doing! Excellent service, lots of laughs too. The food was just amazing. Best chicken sandwich I've ever had. The bun was fresh and lightly toasted, chicken portion was generous and cooked to juicy perfection with just the right amount of crispy batter, the lettuce was fresh, and the mayo amount was just right. It didn't need any fancy flavors because this is just how you do a chicken sandwich. Mic drop. The picture was taken from the small end of the sandwich so it doesn't do the size justice. The side of chicken rice soup was great. Good size, lots of chicken, very tasty. My husband got their version of the Big Mac (feature for Burger Wars) and he gave it top marks. One of the best burgers he's ever had. He enjoyed the seasoned fries too. Sorry I didn't get a picture of his meal. The cheesecake disappeared too fast for me to get a picture. Homemade, generous portion, very tasty. I didn't find the strawberry sauce really added anything - it didn't need it as it stood on its own. We each had a drink. I highly recommend the blueberry lemonade with its perfectly balanced flavor and tart-sweet profile. My husband enjoyed his iced coffee with hazelnut flavor. The ambiance is simple, rustic, and cozy. The bathroom was chilly and a paper towel dispenser would be helpful rather than just the roll sitting there. But I can't take points for that. It was a great experience and we can't wait to come back! Great value for money too.

Best burger I have ever eaten, chips were light and crispy, lightly spiced. Cakes were spot on and huge! Service was friendly and helpful. Sat beside the river in the sun. Great find

Loved their food, friendly service, and cute ambiance. We ordered western loaded sandwich with multi grain bread, ceasar salad and their home baked bun burger with crispy chicken and bacon. The fries were amazing. Blueberry lemonade was fantastically refreshing. Another good thing is that they allow customers to bring coffee from sissiboo coffee brewers. The cherry on top is their shop upstairs which features some great restored antique furniture, bath soaps etc. Will visit again to buy some stuff soon.
